| The Rác Bath lie not far from the Rudas Bath on the Buda side by the foot of Elizabeth Bridge. Known since the days of the great humanist ruler Mátyás Corvinus (15th century), the establishment was, according to early documents, once directly connected to the royal palace. The Turkish baths (Rác and Rudas) built here in the 16th century still operate today. |

| Contemporary sources reported about the building, completed in 1918, as follows: „… The monumental architecture, classical in its propertions but Hungarian in its design with a slight Oriental touch, of the enormous building of the Saint Gellért Spa and Hotel catch the eye of the visitors.” Indeed, the artistic impression of the spa, located near the Danube, is created by the wonderful sculptures, ceramic mosaic tiles and tinted glass incorporated. This artistic effect is present not only in the interior, but characterises the open air facilities, such as the pools and the wave pool, as well. |
| Composition of the water: Radioactive thermal water containing sodium, potassium-magnesium-hydrocarbonate and sulphates, with significant fluoride contents. Indications: Degenerative disorders of joints and the spine, chronic and subacute arthritis, herniated nucleus pulposus, chronic inflammatory airway diseases, gastroenteritis, neuralgia, neuralgic pain, low bone mineral contents. |
